One of the most advanced branches of Vedic Astrology is "Prashna", which literally means "A Question". This is also called Horary Astrology in the West. This Horary Astrology has been practiced for centuries in India known as "Prashna Shastra". An astrologer, who uses these “Prashna Astrology” principles, will attempt to answer any question asked by a person. The answer can range from a simple “Yes” or “No” to a very detailed explanation.

Prashna can be applied to almost any situation and can provide answers. The Prashna has to be simple, clear, and without ambiguity. Also one should avoid multiple questions within one question while asking a Prashna.
